Note (2) Grave marker gives Alfred B. Sutphin. Death date is unknown and the stone was
cracked. Funeral was held at the Royston Funeral Home.
Note (3) Marriage record gives "A. Benton Sutphin, 21, born in Fauquier. This place of
birth is incorrect. Benton and Mary were married by FG Nevitt.
Note (4) Although a birth year of 1869 is given on the burial marker, The correct year
likely is closer to 1873.
