Note (3) King in his notes gives 21 Jan 1775 while Gov. Smith in his memoirs gives 1 Jan 1775. Note (4) Goodwin gives Thomas' birthdate as 19 Nov at "Office Hall"; King George Courthouse, VA; while French gives 15 Nov. Note (5) Said to be buried under the church he founded in 1843.
