Event Notes Note (1) Malchoir Landolt, 26, and his wife Catherine, 19, arrive in New York 8 May 1871 aboard the SS Silesia out of Hamburg. Note (2) In her Bible, Elsie (Staub) Landoldt-Blase indicates her mother's age at death to be 53 years, 6 months, and 25 days. This gives a birthdate of 6 Apr 1854. Elsie also gave the same information on her mother's death record and it is also on Catherine's burial marker. Cemetery records give 16 Apr 1854 which may be a transcription error. This does not agree with the Schulthess document, nor with the immigration record, both indicating her birthyear to be 1852. Note (3) Interred in the Township Section. Note (4) Malchoir Landolt, 26, and his wife Catherine, 19, arrive in New York 8 May 1871 aboard the SS Silesia out of Hamburg. Note (5) Death certificate gives the year as 1875. Note (6) Marriage license of 25 Oct 1902 gives her place of birth as Youngstown. The death certificate gives 17 Jan 1886 which is incorrect. Note (7) Consent given by Catherine Blaser (sic), mother Note (8) Cuyahoga Co. Probate Court Marriage Register Vol. 54, page 498, and page match 88. Note (9) The death certificate gives the year as 1880. Note (10) Death certificate gives 6 Mar 1881 which is incorrect.. Note (11) E. Shriver, the undertaker, was also the informant. He correctly gave her parents, but listed her surname as "May" and gave an incorrect birthdate. Note (12) Interred in the Township Section.
